This is The Host from Tim Minchin’s beat poem Storm.This is a recreation and I changed some things to make sure I don’t get sued. D.C. Turner did the original, you can see his video lower in the post as well as the video trailer for the finished movie. Visit the Storm site to see more details about the poem. D.C. Turner made the original in Flash CS4, I made mine in Photoshop CS4. If you want to visit D.C. Turners website, you can find it here. His version is much better than mine, but he’s been working with companies like Motorola and Sony for years, I’ve been doing this for about two, not professionally either. I took some time to figure this out in Photoshop, pretty easy effect to be honest.

-PS. I have no clue why part of the door is white. I couldn’t figure out an easy way to fix it so I just left it that way.

Logo For My Website

Editing and Cropping aside, this will be the official logo for my website. It’s got a green look which most people relate too, that will make it stick out in people’s minds. At least that was the idea lol.

Urban Culture and Some Cool News

I also took part in a Sitepoint quiz today after looking through an article. At the end of the article I skimmed there was a quiz on IIS and MWPI (Microsoft Web Platform Installer). I had spent some time about a month ago setting up PHP, ASP.NET, FastCGIm and some other things off of this installer and learned some pretty cool things. The quiz was over just about everything I learned (all 5 questions of it). So I passed the quiz and I’ll be receiving a copy of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 in 6 to 8 weeks, barring all things that could go wrong don’t.
